Daz Hayes

Daz was initially reluctant to enter the fold of Jelly Surprize. This is believed to be because he has some modicum of pride, unlike most of the original members, and wasn't keen to get beaten every week.

His transfer was one of the most acrimonious in the club's history. He was courted to sign for Jelly Surprize in time for their inaugural season but thanks to one of the many unscrupulous agents that are plaguing football he was persuaded to sign for Panathinikos. He featured in a number of matches for them, before being demoted to the reserves for making advances to manager's daughter and giving the kit man a slap for “givin' him cheek.”

Luckily he had already been tapped up by JS for a return to English football.

He eventually became a player during the third all conquering season, where he became the sixth or seventh player, adding a new attacking edge with his passing game. The extra player also gave JS a new advantage in fitness and stopped the team falling away at the end of games. He chose to end his career on a high note following the successful campaign, but was subsequently tempted out of retirement for the final season.

He had a change of career for the tour to Holland; he took on the duties of official photographer, and its thanks to him that you can see all the pictures of JS in action elsewhere on the site.
